These are the faces of Los Angeles, the faces of people I have seen in public places: stores, restaurants, on the streets. Some are young, others old, but all are faces of people whose experience has taught them something that shows in their expression. I do not know these people. I have simply seen them. I do not draw them, or take pictures of them. I rely on my memory to portray their spirit as I observed it at the moment I saw them.
